Fury From The Deep was my last story, and in many ways, my favourite.

I thought it was a great story, and of course Victoria came into her own by defeating the Sea-Weed Monster. Two distinct memories from this story for totally different reasons. The first was yet another of Pat and Frazer's practical jokes. We were filming on location at Margate Beach, the Doctor and Jamie find lots of foam washed up and start to investigate. I said to the director' "Look, I'll just stand here on the edge of the shot, I don;t want to get all messed up".

That was fine until Pat and Frazer gave each other a look, then looked at me. The next thing I knew I was then getting Birthday Bumps in the foam! The director thought it was great, but because somebody laughed, he said, "wipe her down, let's do it again!" Typical Pat and Frazer.

My second memory is of my final scene. Sadly this story no longer exists, but if it did then you would see a very tearful farewell scene between Victoria, the Doctor and Jamie. That was very hard to do for all of us, and the tears were very much real.

I knew it was time to go, but I also knew I was going to miss the Doctor Who family; Pat and Frazer in particular.

Of course, at the time I had no idea how much a part of my life Doctor Who would be and over 35 years later I'm very proud to have been part of a very special programme.
